The HoseGuard air fuse offers simple but efficient protection to pneumatic systems in the event of a broken compressed air hose or pipe. The air supply is immediately shut off by the HoseGuard, should the volume of air exceed a set value. This value is factory preset and is set to allow normal air consumption when using air tools. Should the air consumption exceed the set value, e.g. the air line is severed, then the internal piston instantly shuts off the main flow. An integral bleed hole allows some air to flow through. This enables the line pressure to automatically reset the HoseGuard once the main break is repaired.

Protect Against Air Hose Breaks

The Problem
When a compressed air hose breaks, severs, bursts or disconnects from the tool or equipment it is supplying compressed air to, a very dangerous situation occurs. The end of the air hose can whip around violently and erratically causing damage to equipment and potentially serious injuries to workers.

The Solution
Adding a Hoseguard to the beginning of the air hose will prevent the dangerous situation presented above. The Hoseguard is a pre-set pressure regulator that will instantly shut off the air flow if/when the air consumption exceeds the predetermined set flow. Various sizes,male and female connections are available.
