Fatigue and life cycle testing are important tests to perform when manufacturing brakes. This application show Proportion-Air products being used for vacuum brake testing.

In this drawing, a QB2 on an RMV-Series volume booster is controlling vacuum through a vacuum reservoir to the vacuum side of a brake booster. Additionally, a QB3 is applying force on the actuator side of the brake booster in a fatigue test. A directional valve switches motion to test push and pull on the diaphragm until failure. Using an electronic regulator will hold the vacuum tighter and more accurately.
