Overpressure Protection with a SaveAir

Applications that require precise pressure regulation to fill small volumes benefit from an additional regulator that controls the supply air before it reaches the electro-pneumatic pressure regulator. Inches of water output is easier to control when supply pressure is closer to output pressure. When there is high pressure differential between supply and output, the inlet valve may not operate fast enough to prevent large set point overshoot and instability. Repeated or sustained large overshoot can lead to sensor damage.

The SaveAir lowers the pressure of the air coming into an EPR to a pre-set limit (15 psi/1 bar in the illustration), protecting internal sensors from overpressurization, reducing overshoot and instability.
