This sketch shows a Proportion-Air electro-pneumatic pressure controller being used to control force on a bread bag indexing cylinder. The QB1 maintains just the right amount of force so the bags come off the stack, one-at-a-time.
Force control on cylinders is a great application for Proportion-Air products. Our application engineers can easily ask the right questions to ensure proper flow sizing to meet the load demands of most applications. Since our products are constantly sensing downstream pressure, they react very fast to any changes in load to relieve or add pressure (force) to the process.
If faster and more accurate control is required, the Proportion-Air QB2 can accept direct feedback from your load cell. This will allow us to directly control the force in your process without the need for additional PID tuning making it basically a “plug and play” application.
