Using force on calender rolls, steel and fabric is rolled between two sheets of rubber in a process that combines all materials into one. This process often requires control of the temperature of saturated steam.
The Proportion-Air QB2 volume booster assembly (QB2X and RM-Series) provides plenty of control and flow (based on the ram size and speed) to apply precise force to the calender rolls. Using a DS Series (stainless steel) pressure transducer and a Burling steam regulator, the QB2X can control the pressure of saturated steam, which is directly proportional to the temperature of saturated steam.
