The MPV – Ultra High Resolution, manifold mount – electro-pneumatic closed-loop proportional pressure control valve. The MPV-Series utilizes a variable orifice valve on the inlet side which eliminates the digital steps of traditional ON/OFF solenoids. The field adjustable hysteresis potentiometer allows users to virtually eliminate the dead-band of the control circuit, resulting in superior system resolution, accuracy and repeatability.

Ideal for very sensitive applications such as leak testing at low pressures, dispensing in micro units and microfluidics applications. Din-Rail, panel mount or up to 12 stations on a sub-base manifold are the mounting options for the MPV1 high resolution, manifold mount controller.

The MPV-Series electronic pressure regulator uses a normally closed solenoid valve for exhaust and a true proportional valve for inlet pressure control. The true proportional valve allows this product to achieve high resolution pressure control. A pressure sensor (on-board) measures downstream system pressure and provides constant feedback to the electronic controls, which is then compared to the command signal. The difference between the two signals causes the valves to open or close, allowing pressure in or out of the syterm.

The MPV-Series pressure controller is designed to have “universal mounting” capabilities, which include DIN rail, panel mount and manifold mounting for use on a sub-base for multiple unit applications. The DIN rail mounting option is designed for the standard metal DIN rail typically used for mounting circuit breakers and other industrial control equipment. The MPV-Series offers very high resolution pressure control in the range of ±0.005% of the full scale calibration.

The manifold mountable MPV-Series is designed for functionality and space. Mount 2 to 12 MPVs on a single sub-base manifold with shared inlet and shared exhaust. Each MPV on the manifold will have command inlet pressure and common exhaust, but provide high resolution pressure control to individualized processes.  The MPV-Series can be purchased as a single-loop (internal sense) device or built as a dual-loop (external sense) device to accept a variety of transducers as direct feedback.
