High Pressure Valves
Electronically commanded high pressure valves from Proportion-Air will accurately control pressures up to 6,000 PSI (inquire for higher pressures). The GX Series high pressure control valve accomplishes 1:1 direct pressure control to 1,000 PSI, without the need for a mechanical ratio amplifier. This results in excellent accuracy and repeatability.
Individual high pressure regulators control these pressures directly. We can control much higher pressures with ratio regulator assemblies. Please contact us if your pressure range is higher than listed.
the GX directly controls pressure up to 1,000 PSI
0 to 1,000 PSI control is accurate to ±2.5 PSI, with repeatability of ±1.5 PSI
High Pressure Valves
The GX Series can also pilot operate a volume booster (AKA pilot-operated regulator) when high flow rates are needed. Pressures above 1000 PSI are achieved by pilot-operating a ratio regulator. In theory, any pressure and flow is possible in this configuration. The GX offers accuracy up to ±0.25% of full scale calibration and repeatability of ±0.15%.
Normally, pilot operating ratio regulators results in a severe accuracy (high hysteresis) penalty. Proportion-Air uses an external pressure transducer to close the loop around the actual output pressure of the ratio regulator. This results in a complete high accuracy, high pressure package capable of the same accuracy and repeatability as the pilot unit itself. See our High Pressure Control Brochure to find out more.
The QB3H electronically controlled high pressure valve was originally designed for laser cutting with argon, nitrogen, oxygen and air. While the QB3H continues to be very successful in this application, multiple industries and processes now use it to control high pressure with high flows in compact spaces. This model offers 1:1 pressure control up to 500 PSI while achieving flows up to 50 SCFM.
Proportion-Air’s QBS is available with a stainless steel or aluminum manifold. This device is a small and compact high pressure valve designed for static applications. It offers accuracy up to ±0.5% of full scale calibration. Fast response time and extreme durability, the QBS withstands the test of time in industrial applications.
