ISQBX Intrinsically Safe Pressure Regulator

ISQBX Intrinsically Safe Pressure Regulator

The ISQBX control valve is an intrinsically safe electronic pressure regulator designed to precisely and proportionally control the pressure of inert gases in hazardous locations based on an electronic signal.

  • Full vacuum to 150 PSI (10.34 Bar)
  • Flows up to 0.8 SCFM under static/deadheaded conditions
  • FM approved and rated intrinsically safe for hazardous locations (see below for complete classification)

The FM Approved Intrinsically Safe ISQBX operates using two normally closed solenoid valves, a pressure sensor and a control circuit. One valve is actuated to allow unregulated supply media into the system. The second valve actuates to allow working media to vent to atmosphere. The pressure sensor provides feedback to the control circuit. The control circuit compares the pressure sensor feedback to the user supplied electronic command signal and actuates the appropriate valve until the two signals match.

ISQBX | Intrinsically Safe

The ISQBX Intrinsically Safe valve is rated by Factory Mutual (FM) and approved for Class I, II, III, Division 1, Groups C, D, E, F and G hazardous locations. The ISQBX may be used with any non-corrosive compressible media compatible with the wetted materials.

Special Condition for Use:
The apparatus enclosure contains aluminum, which is considered to constitute a potential risk of ignition by impact or friction. Care must be taken into account during installation and use to prevent impact or friction.

NOTES: End user must determine fitness and suitability of the ISQBX control valve for their application. The ISQBX requires the use of Intrinsically Safe barriers.
