Proportion-Air is happy to announce the launch of this year’s senior capstone project in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. This group will focus on a digital communication link protocol for Proportion-Air’s QB-Electronic Pressure Regulator. Electronic Pressure Regulators and Valves | by Proportion-Air Digital communications is a growing segment of the electronic pressure regulator market and this group of seniors will gain some real-world experience. Each team member will have a specific role, contributing their individual skills to the project.
Meet the Team

Zach Ascher, from Pulaski, Wisconsin, is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in controls and power. When he’s not working on technical projects, Zach enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Jared Wunschel is a native of Sussex, Wisconsin. He is focusing on controls and communications within his Electrical Engineering studies. Outside of academics, he’s an avid golfer and enjoys biking.

Nicholas Loehrke, from Weyauwega, Wisconsin, is specializing in controls and computer engineering. He’s passionate about mountain biking and has a unique interest in reading technical documentation like the IO-Link Interface and System Specification.

Mitch Koch, hailing from Stoughton, Wisconsin, is studying Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in controls and communications, along with a minor in mathematics. He enjoys traveling, fishing, and golfing in his free time.
This group of engineers will spend the semester working and developing a digital interface prototype. They hope to do this by the end of the semester in December. They’ll exhibit the final product at the University of Wisconsin’s Senior Design Open House.
