The Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas use Proportion-Air’s electro-pneumatic proportional pressure regulators to help deliver their world-renowned water show. Part of what makes this splashy show a household name is the uniformity of the routine that the water shooters create. Proportion-Air’s long product life, accuracy and repeatability allow this water feature to be consistently impressive every day.

Several product combinations can achieve a fountain water shooter like this one. For this drawing, we’re showing an assembly of a QBS high-pressure valve piloting a PSR volume booster in a remote area outside the fountain. The assembly supplies and regulates the air pressure in a 60-gallon tank @ 200 PSI. The air tank is connected to the bottom of a tank that fills with water from the fountain. The water tank has a nozzle on top that moves into place when the show is about to begin. When the signal is sent from the control room, the air is released from the air tank into the water tank. This forces the water out of the nozzle and 450 feet in the air. Water shooters of varying sizes around the fountain can run this process to produce the show.
