A tire uniformity test machine is designed to measure force variation, run out, and sidewall appearance. If these parameters are not verified, tire integrity could be compromised dramatically affecting ride quality and tire life.

A tire verification or tire uniformity machine is used as part of the tire finishing process. A variety of test measurements are made on the tire to ensure it meets the manufacturer’s strict standards of quality. This basic sketch shows a Proportion-Air proportional valve assembly being used to inflate the tire for testing and maintaining pressure as the load wheel test is accomplished.

This test requires that the tire be inflated rapidly, that the pressure achieved is very repeatable, stable and accurate. The QB2/RM-Series volume booster/DS transducer assembly is used for this process because of its repeatability, speed of response and accuracy. The Proportion-Air electronic regulator is configured to order based on the tire manufacturer’s specifications.
