Edges of windshield glass are ground to remove sharpness with a device called a seamer. The glass seamer uses sanding belts for grinding. Tension on the belt can be controlled electro-pneumatically for the best control.

This sketch shows a QB3 controlling pressure to a cylinder that is applying force to a belt sander and maintaining belt tension. It is ideal for this application because of its sensitivity and speed of response. The QB3 has high forward and exhaust flow, this allows it to react very quickly during the grinding process.

Force applied to the seamer will be extremely accurate and adjustable on the fly based on the area of windshield being ground.
