Argon gas is often filled between two panes of glass to increase energy efficiency. Argon is inexpensive, non-toxic and odorless which makes it a perfect choice for glass pane filling. These are energy star rated windows that offer better insulation and sound proofing – they are becoming a popular choice for many homeowners.
In this sketch, a Proportion-Air pressure control assembly is controlling both vacuum and positive argon pressure for filling the window. A simple analog command to the QB2 controller pulls a vacuum on the window to vacate excess atmosphere. Then a different command is given to fill with high pressure argon.
