In a water cooled mold, the FCV allows for tight control of temperature by proportionally controlling the flow of cooling water with a command signal from a PLC. By controlling upstream water from the chiller you can precisely control flow for a consistent, high quality molded part. The FCV is an electronically controlled angle-seat valve that is proportional to the signal commanded and perfect for cooling a mold with water. The FCV is a 1″ NPT electronically controlled needle valve made of 316 stainless steel. A 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA command signal will proportionally control the position of the needle, which in turn controls the size of the opening. With a max Cv of 19 and the ability to handle pressures up to 250 PSI, the FCV is the process control valve you never knew existed, but always needed.
