Larry Travels to Sedalia, Missouri
Sedalia, Missouri is home of the Missouri State Fair. It’s also a nice town to visit if you are ever in the area southwest of St Louis.
The people are so typically Midwestern here – hospitable and extremely helpful. While my trip was for work, there is always something interesting to see while traveling. Two things were of note during this trip.
– The Comfort Inn Sedalia Station: This hotel is railroad themed so you’ll see excellent antique railway memorabilia and photographs. The place was spotless and the people who worked there seemed to enjoy their jobs.
– Kehde’s Barbeque: One of their dining rooms is in a 1920s Pullman passenger rail car. The food and service was excellent and the setting was unique. They too had old rail road memorabilia. The place was packed with diners and it seemed to be a popular place.
Sedalia, Missouri is worth a trip to investigate what it has to offer.
