Tire Mold Eject

After a green tire is cured in the mold, it must be removed for further processing and testing. The easiest (and safest) way to remove a tire from a mold is to eject it via a shot of compressed air.

In this sketch, two QB3s are being used simultaneously to provide a shot of compressed air and release the tire from the mold. High flow is required to produce the required volume of air that will make the tire actually “jump” out of the mold.

The QB3 can flow up to 30 SCFM and control pressure up to 150 PSI. Proportion-Air products can be used to improve many tire manufacturing processes.
