Quality control is imperative in medical equipment manufacturing. Failure is not an option when lives depend on products performing correctly. Manufacturing I.V. bags is no exception, so they are tested before they go into use. In this example a QB3 pressure regulator is used in a pressure decay leak test for an I.V. bag. The QB3 is an ideal choice for the application because it negates the need to use two separate devices. First, the QB3 applies positive pressure to fill the bag with nitrogen. Once it is confirmed there are no leaks, the QB3 is then commanded to apply vacuum and the nitrogen is voided. The bags are now ready to be filled with whatever liquid is required.
