Controlling High Pressure in a Leak Test
Some parts require testing at pressures exceeding 1,000 psig. For those applications a QB2 can be teamed up with a ratio air-piloted regulator to control pressure up to 7,000 psig. The QB2 takes an analog signal from an external pressure transducer which is plumbed on the work port side of the ratio regulator. This allows the QB2 to compensate for the inaccuracy of the mechanical regulator. An analog monitor signal is available on pin 5 of the QB2 which comes from the external transducer. This signal can be used for data acquisition for the computer or PLC or used for a digital display.
