After a green tire is cured in the mold, it must be removed for further processing and testing. The simplest (and least damaging ) way to remove the tire from the mold is by pushing it out with compressed air in a tire mold eject application.
In this sketch, two QB3s are being used simultaneously to provide a shot of pressure and release the tire from the mold. High flow is required to produce the required volume of air that will make the tire jump out of the mold.
The QB3 can flow up to 30 SCFM and control pressure up to 150 PSI. Proportion-Air products can be used to improve most tire manufacturing processes.
